Fast, in your browser
Why a browser game-
In your browser, or as an app
PHALANX is a web page. No launcher, no store, no giant download, no patch day. It runs in the browser you already have, on a laptop, a desktop or an iPad with a keyboard. On an iPad you can also put it on your Home Screen and it opens as an app of its own. Either way, every update is there the next time it loads.
-
Fast to load
The whole game – the city, the tanks, the guns and the sound – comes down in about a third of a megabyte, less than a single photo off your phone. There are no textures or sound files to wait for: the city is drawn and every sound is made right on your own machine.
-
Fast to play
No lobby, no matchmaking queue, no waiting for a round to start. The arena runs around the clock, so you drop straight into a battle that is already going. Destroyed? You are back in your compound and rolling again in seconds. Ten minutes is a good session. So is an evening.
-
Light on your machine
Tuned to run smoothly on an iPad, so a laptop or desktop has room to spare. The server sends each driver only what they can see, so the connection stays light too.

Kills, then capturesBuilt for teamwork
Bring your friends-
1Nobody wins it alone
A captured flag only counts while your own flag is still on its stand, so somebody holds the base while somebody else makes the run. Stations fall faster with more of you on them: two tanks take one in half the time, three in a third. Crews that talk win.
-
2Four teams, never a stalemate
Red, Blue, Yellow and White each hold a corner of the city. With four sides there is always something happening: a raid on your base, a station changing hands, two other teams tearing into each other while you slip past them to a flag. Somebody else's fight is your opening.
-
3A job for everyone
Every tank is fitted out in the garage, so a crew can split the work: a quick scout running stealth, a heavy tank guarding the flag, a satellite to find the enemy, a raider going over the rooftops. Whatever you like doing, the team needs it.
-
4Moments worth telling
Bring an enemy flag home and every tank on that team goes up at once, and the whole arena reads about it in the battle log. Bounties grow on whoever is on a streak. Those are the plays you will still be talking about the next day.
-
5Play with your friends
Pick the same colour and you are a crew; pick different ones and you are rivals for the night. Bots fill every empty seat, so two friends on a weeknight still get a full battle, and nobody waits for a lobby to fill.
-
6Something to play for
The leaderboard keeps every driver's kills and captures, so bragging rights carry from one night to the next.
